In São Paolo, the Consuls of our LGBT-Friendly Group planned a get-together to kick off the Pride festivities, attending the Cultural Fête at Praça da República. There were plenty of stalls selling food, decorations, and more. They also met up to join the parade itself, enjoying a day full of music and fun. Thanks for organizing, Dietrich Willke and Anne-Laure Bitaine! Check out their group to see the many other fun activities they plan each month.
In our Barcelona Community, the Outdoor & Sports Group hosted a walking activity along the coastline, past Paseo Maritimo and historic Vilanova I la Geltrù, ending in Sitges. There, the group watched the amazing pride parade with over 20 floats and celebrated with over 3,000 participants. Thanks for organizing Tony Walsh!

The Changemakers Group in Oslo dressed to impress for their local Pride Festival, getting together to watch the parade in their favorite rainbow outfits while supporting the Malala foundation. The festival was a 10-day event, with many workshops, live music, and activities for everyone to enjoy. A big thanks to Consuls Rick Boesch, Arnaud Caigniet, and Anna Cartwright!
In Panama City and in Düsseldorf, our LGBT & Friends Groups commemorated Pride Month and the fight for the rights of their community with casual get-togethers in the heart of their respective cities. Expats and global minds in Düsseldorf also watched the parade together. Thank you, Rhafful Bernal Ponce, Juan Jose de Blas, and Alejandra Claure for organizing these activities.

It’s not too late to join one of the celebrations! On 30 June, our Nuremberg – Erlangen Explorers Group is meeting up to bake and enjoy some Pride-themed sweets! On 27 July, our Amsterdam LGBTQIA+ & Friends Group is gathering to celebrate the official beginning of the city’s Pride 2019! And on 3 August, they’ll watch the Canal Parade with VIP treatment (and view) on the tribune.
Our Mexico City Community has planned many fun activities to celebrate the occasion! They kicked off Mexico City’s 41st Pride March weekend on 27 June 2019 with a launch party, hosted in the trendy Roma Norte neighborhood. The fun continues as the weekend starts, with the LGBT+ Group hosting a Pride Ride activity, where they’ll bike along the Pride March route and enjoy music and food along the way.
If members aren’t tired after the bike ride, they can join in for a Pride pub crawl in the evening. The big event is on Saturday, 29 June 2019, and InterNations will be gathering to watch the Pride March on a terrace at Salon Sol, where there will also be a drag group performing. The weekend ends on Sunday with a boat party on the famous canals of Xochimilco, which are the last remnants of a water transportation system built by the Aztecs. All these awesome activities are hosted by Consul Monique Rodrigues!
